Where markdowns have been indicated, the products will have been on sale at the previous higher price for at least 28 days in the previous 6 months in at least four of MAKRO's stores. Where percentage reduction, this is calculated from the MAKRO normal selling price.

Kick Off 2010 Incentive Promotion (“the Promotion”)

Terms & Conditions

1. In order to be eligible to claim a reward under the Promotion, a customer must be categorised by Makro as a pub or club tradecard account holder of Makro (“Makro Account”) between 01/01/10 and 30/04/10 (the “Period”) and spend at Makro during the Period as follows:

1.a       between £2,500.00 and £4,999.99 over the amount the Makro Account spent at Makro between 01/01/09 and 30/04/09 (no more than 40% of this uplift to be from beer, wines & spirits category); or

1.b       £5,000.00 or more over the amount the Makro Account spent at Makro between 01/01/09 and 30/04/09 (no more than 40% of this uplift to be from beer, wines & spirits category).

Makro regrets that the following spend will not be included in the above calculation: purchases of tobacco products; and bulk transactions of single food sales floor product lines for values over £1,000.

2. If during the Period the Makro Account spends an amount within the spend band set out at 1.a above then the Makro Account will be eligible to claim from Makro a Samsung LE32B350 32" Freeview HD Ready LCD TV (subject to availability).

3. If the Makro Account spends an amount within the spend band set out at 1.b above then the Makro Account will be eligible to claim from Makro a Samsung PS42B430 42" Plasma TV (subject to availability).

4. Only one television will be rewarded per Makro Account.

5. Spend updates can be provided to the Makro Account on request to store manager.

6. The Promotion starts on 01/01/10 and the Makro Account’s spend will be assessed from 01/01/10. Any purchases before this time will not qualify in the Promotion.

7. The Promotion will close at midnight on 30/04/10 and the Makro Account’s spend will cease to be assessed at this time. Any purchases after this time will not qualify in the Promotion.

8. Makro reserves the right to reward a Makro Account with a valid claim with an HD Ready Widescreen LCD TV of similar specification and value to those stated at clauses 2 and 3 above. In the event of a lack of availability, MAKRO may at its discretion reward the Makro Account with Makro vouchers to the same cost value. There is no cash alternative. 

9. In addition to the requirements in clause 1, Makro Account holders must be18 years or over at time of entry to be eligible to claim and not have held any other Makro tradecard account within the twelve months prior to 01/01/10. Employees and immediate families of Makro, its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion are not eligible. 

10. Makro will notify all Makro Accounts eligible to claim a reward by telephone by 15th May 2010 and publish eligible Makro Account names and county on www.makro.co.uk . No claims for rewards under the Promotion will be valid or accepted before this date. Failure to claim a reward by 30/06/10 will result in the claim being forfeited.

11. The promoter is MAKRO Self Service Wholesalers Ltd, Liverpool Road, Barton Moss, Eccles, Manchester M30 7RT. Non compliance with other Makro rules may result in disqualification from the Promotion.

12. By claiming a reward under this Promotion, the Makro Account impliedly confirms the Makro Account’s consent to take part in related publicity.
